OpenEd Academy is a virtual private school serving students nationwide in grades K-12. We help families create a personalized learning experience that works for their children, combining the flexibility of homeschooling with the support and resources of traditional education.
OpenEd Academy combines the freedom of at-home learning with the support of a school. Unlike traditional schools, we provide flexible scheduling, personalized learning paths, and parent-directed education. Unlike homeschooling alone, we offer an accredited diploma, certified teacher support, official transcripts, and handle academic record-keeping for you.
Students in any state in grades K-12 (up to age 20) can join. This includes students currently in traditional schools, homeschoolers, microschoolers, and families interested in flexible, student-tailored learning. No previous alternative education experience is needed.
OpenEd partners with public schools to support families in creating personalized learning experiences while staying within the public school system. OpenEd Academy is an accredited private school that provides greater structure, official transcripts, certified teachers, and an accredited diploma, handling curriculum selection and record-keeping for families who want more comprehensive support.
For the 2025-26 academic year:
Grades K-8: $2,900 per student per year
Grades 9-12: $3,500 per student per year
Early college students: $5,000 per student per year (includes dual enrollment with university partners)
Tuition covers one year of full-time enrollment with up to six 1.0 credit classes or twelve 0.5 credit classes. It includes access to clubs, activities, college counseling, course advisement, homeroom sessions, courses, and teachers. There are no surprise fees or hidden costs.
